2021 - year end report

I will file this past year in the category of transition.

From education, research and experimentation to application, execution and confidence.

It was a full 12 months of intent towards fulltime photography.

Lots was learned and many strong foundational pieces of the business plan were set in place.

Patience is still proving to be the biggest challenge. I’m so ready for the hustle and believe this will be the year the ball starts to gain momentum.

I landed one incredible client whose my relationship with is off to a great start and hope to be working together for many years.

I have clearly identified my target market and ready to hit the list.

I am also exploring another form of revenue through personal projects.

That endeavor is whole different beast and plan. I have no real expectation nor risk for it yet but the idea and potential has my interest, tbc…

This will also be a year of focused marketing. Simply put the name/brand needs to get out there for me to succeed. Thankfully there are many avenues for me to do so but will take lots of work.

It’s not as sexy as making pictures and is clearly proving to be my least interested element of the game.

My lighting gig had trickles of activity throughout the year but still nowhere near where it was in 2019.

To my surprise both gigs generated almost equal amounts of revenue in 2021.

Will 2022 be the year my photography brings in more cash than Christie Lites?

That sector is going through a major facelift right now and it’s hard to say if I will be part of the new landscape to come after 30 years as a player.

Regardless, I’m grateful to have both opportunities and can’t wait to see what this year brings

Happy New Year to you and thanks for being here -
