2022 Year end report -

2022 -

The year that this and that in my photography world was supposed to happen but didn’t because I didn’t put in enough work. I did manage to dip my toe and touch some of the bullet point goals I had set at the beginning of the year, but was far from jumping in. Motion, portraiture and real estate were some of those goals.

I realized the photography venture I wanted was really a journey and not the business I thought I was building.

An all senses wide open kind of journey. A journey that started with commercial objectives has now shifted towards something deeper. A deeper that will most likely never be defined, yet provide me a different perspective each year; and may produce some financial revenue if it’s meant to be.

A meaningful personal project appeals to me most, it is top of the list for this year (any ideas?)

I did manage to make some money in photography but nowhere near enough to completely shift as a primary career. As such I still have one foot on each side of line separating Christie Lites and Ron Eliovitz Photography.

My stage lighting business bounced back a little bit but is till 30% of what it was at the end of 2019. I expect another bump this year maybe up to 50% (of 2019)

So here we are, 2023, I just did my first paid portraiture job and enjoyed it a lot. I can see myself doing more of that type of work.

Goldray Glass has been very loyal and continue to hire me for Architectural style type work, which I enjoy and would be real happy to do more as well.

Glass Artist Hayden MacRae is still producing beautiful art and has expressed interest to continue working together. Working with more artists also interests me and I would happily do more of that type work too.

Ok, guess I can cross off “year-end blog” from the list and move on.

Thanks for reading - ron
